Job Description Summary
GE's military engines business has supported the United States and Allied customers for over 75 years. The successful candidate will serve as a lead program and functional support counsel for GE's military engines portfolio. Preference is given for a candidate with a TS security clearance who is able to work from Evendale, Ohio (north of Cincinnati); however, consideration will be given to candidates in Washington, D.C. or Lynn, Massachusetts.
Provide leaders, stakeholders, and colleagues with expert, practical, legal, and ethical business advice on complex US Government contracting and business issues
Help shape both strategic and tactical actions within regulatory boundaries to maximize value for customers
Keep the business safe in a highly scrutinized regulatory environment
Work as a member of the Government Business Legal Department to assist on all aspects of its US Government business
Provide program-lawyer support for business segments critical to ensuring US and its Allies’ national defense
Deliver specialized government contracts and regulatory counseling for functional organizations that support business segments selling to the US Government
Develop and strengthen relationships with external customer and regulatory counsels.
Lead compliance investigations and initiatives
Play an integral role in the GE military engines' business growth strategy
Under minimal supervision, plan, conduct and supervise complex legal assignments, requiring an ability to evaluate matters that may have a major bearing on conducting the Company’s business
Manage referral of matters to in-house legal specialists and occasionally outside counsel

JD from an accredited law school
10+ years’ experience in US Government contract law with a particular focus on FAR Part 15 contracting
Member in good standing with the bar
Must be a United States Citizen

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Experience applying Lean skills and methods in a transactional environment
