General Electric Senior Compliance Data Analyst - Remote in Evendale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

This is an exciting, brand-new role created at GE Aviation to lead Data Analytics in our Compliance Program. The Senior Compliance Data Analyst will develop analytics strategy, deliver and support data analytics solutions and partner with senior leader to formulate a data-driven approach (e.g., advanced visualizations) to improve risk monitoring in the compliance program and lead the execution of that strategy.

In this role you will partner with the DT organization to lead strategy around data modeling, predictive analytics, artificial intelligence and visualization of results. You will provide insights while leading and directing all aspects of the data compliance program, partnering with senior leaders and stakeholders to proactively identify and mitigate risk. The ideal candidate will have experience in the application of analytic techniques to enterprise and compliance-related risks.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ability to understand logical and physical data models, big data storage architecture, data modeling methodologies, metadata management, master data management & data lineage techniques

  • Responsible for implementing data analytics capabilities across the compliance organization, including in support of complex risk identification, assessment and abatement programs, training and communications programs, and audit programs.

  • Partner with the DT organization to leverage predictive analytics, machine learning, AI and other advance data science capabilities to enable compliance insights

  • Provide business intelligence, analysis and data related compliance information in support of the development and implementation of regulatory and compliance policies, programs, processes and tools.

  • Partner with DT to design analytics and business intelligence solutions to drive insight and support risk assessment, monitoring, and other compliance activities.

  • Design and implement interactive dashboards leveraging visualization

  • Partner with the DT organization where needed to expand data in the Aviation Data Lake to support compliance strategies.

  • Drive and implement strategy, in partnership with the DT organization, for use of machine learning and predictive analytics capabilities as a way to improve and advance the program

  • Responsible for developing, testing and implementing scalable analytical and reporting solutions leveraging SQL, Spotfire and other tools

  • Provide operational support for initiatives across a range of technical and non-technical topics

  • Partner with leaders and stakeholders to strategize and identify how analytics can enable compliance.

  • Communicate technical topics to non-technical audience effectively employing clear and structured communication

  • Collaborate with clients across the compliance and related partner areas to understand business requirements and priorities, proactively identify opportunities and provide analytics-based insights with actionable recommendations and innovative new tools

  • Acts with humility, leads with transparency, and delivers with focus

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Computer Science or Information Systems

  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience.3+ years of hands-on experience developing visualizations leveraging Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, and/or Spotfire

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in analyzing data in big data platforms such as working with the Aviation Data Lake or the GE Corporate Financial Data Lake
