Job Description Summary
In this role, you will lead the team responsible for conducting support equipment specific projects legacy GE military product lines (F101/F110/F118/J85/TF34). Project range from on the CIP (Component Improvement Program) contract to customer funded requirements. The Legacy Military Support Equipment Projects Team Leader demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. You will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. Team will also be the focal for all field question about military support equipment and maintain support equipment configuring list for all actively field product lines.

Roles and Responsibilities
The leader will ensure their team covers tooling PSE questions. Tool improvement project management and maintain support equipment tool list for all active legacy military platforms.
The leader will be the direct focal with Support Engineering Group (SEE) for all engineering efforts
All activities related to the supervision, organization and execution of a service project, including scope, time, contract (if not covered by a dedicated Contract Manager) cost & quality management.
Responsibility for project methodologies and standards including scheduling and control , to fulfill a customer order or need according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

This role will be based in the USA and must have the ability to obtain a secret security clearance
Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor of Science from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma/GED with 6 years' experience in services project management).
A minimum of 4 years’ experience on support equipment that is used on GE military engines.
A minimum of 5 additional years of experience in an engineering capacity
Ability to lead and direct a remote team.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
Effective problem identification and solution skills.
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.
Willingness to learn about an array of Support Equipment products.
Familiarity with Cost Modelling.
