Job Description Summary
GE Aviation is seeking a Learning Facilitator that will be responsible for developing lean behaviors and skills across our organization and enabling great learning experiences.
This role is responsible for facilitating regular classes from our curriculum, both classroom and virtual. It will involve engaging with participants, coordinators, and the Aviation Lean Business Operations team to ensure we have consistently excellent lean learning across the organization. The role enables the Aviation Lean Business Operations team to execute on their operational goals, drive lean mindset into the organization and set the business up for success as we move through our lean transformation journey.
The Lean Learning Facilitator will be a great communicator with the ability to effectively meet participants where they are when teaching concepts to varied audiences. You must be passionate about lean and culture, understand the role to be a facilitator of learning more than a teacher, be organized and proficient in time management, and possess excellent and engaging public speaking skills.
This role is part of GE Aviation's Lean Business Operations Team, reporting directly to the Lean Learning & Development Leader for GE Aviation.
Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
Collaborate with the Lean Learning & Development Leader to continuously identify training needs
Work with the Learning Coordinator to develop the annual calendar of offerings
Facilitate engaging and informative learning sessions, both in person and virtually
Assist in the development of future courses, and their collateral, such as visuals, guides and workbooks.
Work with the Multimedia Designer to ensure alignment across both facilitated and self-paced learning opportunities.
Work with the Lean Learning Leader to maintain a culture of continuous learning and development
Partner with the lean team and extended team members on key initiatives and projects
High School Certificate or Bachelor´s degree
2-3 years of experience in Learning and Development and/or experience in a Lean, Operations or HR role
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment, balancing and executing on multiple priorities
Strong client service orientation and passion for problem solving
Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, virtual classroom platforms (such as Teams)
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Remote working locations will be considered
If outside of Cincinnati, OH, able to travel +/- 25-50% of time
Experience in a teaching or training role
Knowledge of contemporary training practices, stays up to date
