General Electric Lead Tax Specialist 2 - Transfer Pricing in Evendale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

The Transfer Pricing Senior Analyst will play a key role in compiling and analyzing information related to inter-company transactions, interpreting and documenting the gathered information, preparing or managing the preparation of applicable transfer pricing reports, and working with Finance, Controllership, and Business Operations to implement transfer pricing policies.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Gather facts, analyze financial statements, manage complex data sets and models,

  • Correspond with GE Aviation operating companies, participate in fact-finding interviews, explain data requests, manage analytical projects, and prepare write ups,

  • Manage and direct external consultants as they conduct comparable searches and prepare transfer pricing reports, by ensuring smooth project flow and quality information is provided to external advisers,

  • Monitor and review updates to Master File, C-by-C reports, and corresponding Notifications in accordance with latest implemented BEPS recommendations,

  • Work with other team members on transfer pricing planning projects and audit defense work,

  • Support Transfer Pricing audits worldwide, by Tax Authorities or by internal auditors,

  • Support/Assist the GE Aviation Transfer Pricing Leader in establishing and implementing standard transfer pricing policies and procedures across GE Aviation businesses,

  • Support/Assist the GE Aviation Transfer Pricing Leader in various transfer pricing special projects, GE Aviation-wide or business segment specific.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Economics, or Finance;

  • 1+ years of transfer pricing or similar experience, either in an in-house corporate role or in a consulting role;

  • Excellent organizational, project management, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills; and

  • Ability to work independently.

Desired Characteristics

  • Broad exposure to technology related transfer pricing issues preferred;

  • Knowledge of and experience in accounting and tax;

  • Strong oral and written communication skills;

  • Strong Excel and data manipulation skills;

  • Good understanding of transfer pricing concepts and how to effectively apply economic/financial knowledge to transactional and business situations;

  • Timely development and delivery of quality services/work products; and

  • Ability to apply quality, practical approaches to the transaction’s economic situation and arrive at logical conclusions.
