GE Aerospace Lead Personnel Security Specialist in Evendale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

As the Lead Personnel Security Specialist, you will help integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization in regard to personnel security (PERSEC) tasks, with an emphasis on Special Access Programs. In this role the Lead Personnel Security Specialist will be responsible for the proficient execution of personnel security tasks. You will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of personnel security procedures as required by 32 CFR Part 117 “National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM Rule),” Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and applicable Executive Orders and DoD regulations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all government regulatory requirements across personnel security throughout the program life cycle.

  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of JADE, DISS, NBIS, e-APP, and SWFT

  • Oversee the execution of personnel security related tasks in the government systems of record JADE and DISS, provide personnel security guidance to junior team members.

  • Utilize key industry partnerships and learned best practices to influence the development and implementation of personnel security policy and procedures across the business.

  • Effectively coordinate and communicate with government partners, program management, and broader security team.

  • Advise leadership of risk areas that have direct impact on the personnel security operation across the business.

  • Assist and participate in security reviews as required.

  • Development, implementation, and utilization of lead principles to drive efficient and compliant process and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR associate degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience.

  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

  • Active Security Clearance: DOD Secret (adjudicated within the last six years), Top Secret preferred.

  • Candidate must have the ability to work in a high tempo environment and manage work under pressure.

  • Candidate must be accustomed to working in a controlled environment with change and security policies consistent with government/enterprise.

  • Candidate must have demonstrated customer support, interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC)

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Capability to assess and identify/implement continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Demonstrated Project management skills.
