Job Description Summary
The Lead Materials and Process Readiness Engineer will be responsible for management of projects to develop and mature advanced material systems and processes necessary to produce development and low rate production aerospace hardware. You will define parameters and work plans to meet day-to-day and short-term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Roles and Responsibilities
Experience with Process Development and Optimization.
Experience with Statistical Process Control, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma Tools.
Identify and communicate to leadership schedule pressures and implement plans to mitigate the impact of those pressures on program deliverables.
Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.
Share engineering information and promote open dialogue.
Support preparation of invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business.
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks are consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing).
3 years of experience in chemical engineering, materials science, or similar discipline
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Hands-on experience in a chemical or materials processing environment.
Ability to interface with Materials Engineers, Design Engineers, Process Owners, and Leadership to determine part and process CTQs, assess design concepts, identify manufacturing challenges, and establish inspection criteria.
Ability to assess and provide detailed process definition to assist in the creation of accurate production schedules and capacity and cost models.
