General Electric Lead Government Accounting Business Controllership Analyst in Evendale, Ohio

Role Summary:

Key Government Business Controllership (Accounting) Analyst responsible for comprehensive reporting and financial analysis to support Aviation’s military business. Independent problem solver with the ability to engage with the Digital League and Hidden Factories to simplify and enhance GBC processes and reporting.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Lead Government Business Controllership Analyst will work seamlessly with a team of government accounting professionals to support GBC’s objectives

In addition, as the Lead Government Business Controllership Analyst, you will be accountable for the following:

  • Support and enhance DCAA / DCMA Request for Information (RFI) process

  • Responsible for USG Systems Access (Fiberglass)

  • Co-ordinate with Global Operations and FP&A leaders to prepare Aviation Sales and Data Requests (DR1921-3) reports for the government

  • Manage Spotfire Forward Pricing Rates (FPRP) / Incurred Cost Dashboards and training. Create enhanced / additional dashboards which allow business leaders the ability to review rate trends, forecasting accuracy and variances

  • Work with finance pool managers and GBC analysts to prepare quarterly Rate Monitoring. Determine and present rate drivers to Senior Leadership and Government regulators

  • Lead the Cost Voluntarily Withdrawn (CVW) analysis

  • Calculate Disallowance factors for use in rate forecasting

  • Additional surge support as required for Incurred Cost and FPRP submissions

  • Build positive relationship with customers

  • Drive communications

  • Ensure timely follow-up to Government questions

  • Ensure compliance with government rules and regulations (FAR, DFAR, CAS)

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or leadership position Desired Characteristics:

  • Digital Acumen

  • Proficient with MS Excel and Power point (i.e. Pivot Tables, Data Sorting, basic lookups) for data analysis

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Ability to influence others, lead small team and coordinate several projects simultaneously

  • Experience at leading initiatives / projects to closure - effective in root cause identification and resolution

  • Proven analytical and organization ability
