General Electric Lead CAD/CAM Engineer in Evendale, Ohio
Job Description Summary
The CAD/CAM Engineer is responsible for reviewing customer supplied data and drawings, performing design rule checks and creation of manufacturing data, programs and tools required for the manufacture of advanced aerospace components.
Lead the design, generation and implementation of Edison Works In Process Models (IPM’s) and other digital tools within NX, maintaining associativity to master models
Strong knowledge of CNC machines and traditional manufacturing processes ( turning, milling, grinding)
Strong working knowledge of Siemens NX CAD/CAM software
Experience generating In-Process-Models (IPM) from 3D part models.
Interface with Edison Works design engineers, supply chain and manufacturing programs to generate CAD2CAM reviews and manufacturing plans to reduce cost and cycle time
Provide digital tool expertise to support Edison works infrastructure to implement a model based enterprise
Assist in creation and maintaining Edison Works supply chain standards
Partner with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing solutions to meet business needs
Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university + Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing and CAD/CAM experience(or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing and CAD/CAM experience)
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
