The Manufacturing Systems Engineering Application Engineer will stay abreast of, interface with CAM programmers in GE Aviation shops and develop/drive new functionalities in NX CAM as the business drives towards Model Based Manufacturing. You will be the customer facing point of contact for the MSE team.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Systems Engineering Application Engineer will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes on behalf of GE Aviation internal Supply Chain shops. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect tactical and strategic business goals. The candidate will interface with and provide direction to a global team. In addition, you will:

  • Drive standardization for all internal Supply Chain shops

  • Develop and deliver NX CAM and MSE developed tool training

  • Serve as a common Point of Contact to the internal customers

  • Work with Siemens PLM to drive customer (GE Aviation Internal) expectations

  • Work with internal sites to share expertise to drive Supply Chain efficiency

  • Act as a leader in your area of expertise

  • Work in a highly collaborative environment

  • Facilitate interaction of internal team as well as external organizations

  • Develop and execute technology roadmap for your area of expertise in collaboration with other team members

  • Interface with external organizations and supporting functions across a global team

  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and specify new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organization

  • Work together with business leadership at SPB and EB level

  • Specify needs, communicate about project approach, and present outcomes of research

  • Be able to follow through on strategy from concept to execution

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college or high school diploma with minimum 10 years of experience in NX CAM

  • NX CAM-Turning & Milling

  • Cutting Tool Selection

  • High Temperature Super Alloy Machining

  • Efficient material removal

  • NC Program Optimization

  • Production Experience

  • Closed Loop Machining (CLM) Experience

  • NX CAM Work Instructions

  • Training experience

The salary range for this position is 86,000- 120,000 USD.
