General Electric Advanced Lead Manufacturing Systems Engineer in Evendale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

The Manufacturing Systems Engineering team standardizes, delivers, and maintains lean digital manufacturing tools and services for the GEA Supply Chain utilizing the state-of-the-art technologies to increase capacity and quality, to avoid cost and to achieve OTD. The Advanced Lead Manufacturing Systems Engineer will work to maintain existing and upgrade existing systems in the MSE group which include Teamcenter Manufacturing, Teamcenter Manufacturing Resource Manager (MRM), Teamcenter Manufacturing Resource Library (MRL) etc. Your skills will be used to evaluate OOTB functionality and develop new functionality as the business drives towards Model Based Manufacturing. In this role, you will be the subject matter expert for in-process tool models and assembly creation, transferring data to NX CAM, supporting, and maintaining in Teamcenter PLM.

  • Work with Siemens PLM to drive customer (GE Aviation) expectations

  • Focus on Teamcenter MRL Integration

  • Work with internal sites to share expertise to drive Supply Chain efficiency

  • Drive standardization for all internal Supply Chain shops

  • Act as a leader in your area of expertise

  • Work in a highly collaborative global team environment

  • Facilitate interaction of internal team as well as external organizations

  • Develop and execute technology roadmap for your area of expertise in collaboration with other team members

  • Interface with external organizations and supporting functions across a global team

  • Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organization

  • Specify needs, communicate about project approach, and present outcomes of research

  • Be able to follow through on strategy from concept to execution

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college or high school/GED with minimum 10 years of experience in digital consumption of tooling data, TC/NX CAD, resource libraries

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, especially conventional machining

  • Familiarity with NC code simulation in NX CAM or other software tools

  • Teamcenter MRM/MRL or similar systems (TDM etc.)

  • NX interface for resource libraries

  • PLM Workflows

  • Classification and Classification Administration

  • Familiarity with NX Post-processors (Tcl, Post Builder, Post Configurator)

  • Manufacturing related applications in Teamcenter (Manufacturing Planning, Part Planner, Shopfloor Connect, etc.)

  • Manufacturing Tools (CNC Machines, cutting tools, fixtures, probes, etc.)

  • Tool Life Cycle Management

  • Familiarity with downstream applications such as ERP, MES etc.

  • Fixture Management

  • Tool Data and Graphics (Component/Assemblies)

  • Collision Data

The salary range for this position is 86,500- 130,000 USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
