General Electric Advanced Lead Engineer - Mechanical Component in Evendale, Ohio
Role Summary:The Advanced Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals / programs / processes for an area or business segment. Has the experience or expertise to solve problems. Ability to develop and execute objectives for self and others. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of cold airfoils on a growth NPI engine program called the F110-132D.
As an Airfoils Design Engineer for the Large Military Growth, you will :
Be responsible for the design, analysis, and evaluation of fan and HPC airfoils
Drive this hardware through DDR, issue drawings, and complete qualification reports
Coordinate with multi-functional teams and provide technical leadership relative to the design and implementation of cold airfoils
Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to issues and problems
With guidance from experienced CTHs and engineering mentors, you will recommend the approach to meet the technical and program requirements and present these approaches in various internal reviews
Maintain proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Engineering)
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering position
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to influence others and lead small teams
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
