As a composites advanced lead engineer, you will be on a team supporting the B2 tailpipe refresh program. In this role, you will build and utilize multiple skillsets including analysis, design, product definition, and manufacturing for composite and metallic components. Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • You will serve as the design hardware owner of a module of the B2 tailpipe. You will work closely with Product definition engineering, Systems Engineering and other design engineers.

  • The Advanced Lead Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and evaluation of the B2 tailpipe hardware. You will drive this hardware through CAD model creation, drawing issuance and FEA model creation.

  • In leading these projects, you will drive both cost and schedule, as well as formulating and implementing plans to achieve all commitments. You will own and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.

  • This role requires executing with limited guidance the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements. You will develop action plans to anticipate and respond to challenges.

  • As an Advanced Lead Engineer, you will to provide technical mentorship to other personnel and assigned teams. In addition, you will participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited university or college

  • 3 years of experience in a mechanical or aerospace engineering position

  • Proficiency with Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs (such as UG)
