General Electric Administrator - Paralegal in Evendale, Ohio

Role Summary:This role will provide paralegal assistance to GE Aviation counsel in the investigation, research, and defense of labor and employment law claims within Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) program and before state and federal administrative agencies and courts. This includes interpretation of company HR policies and procedures, company position statements, responses to litigation discovery requests, and participation in agency fact-finding conferences and on-site investigations.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Interpret and apply Company's ADR Program

  • Responsible for case management of claims

  • Maintain records of all disputes

  • Monitor compliance with resolution requirements (ADR Administration)

  • Draft settlement agreements

  • Ensure compliance with Company's settlement obligations

  • Including request of settlement checks and COBRA reimbursements

  • Track and report outside legal expenses and claims by maintaining databases, ensure payment of invoices in a timely manner

  • Coordinate and report Team's progress against team's goals & objectives and business initiatives

  • Assist Human Resources (HR) in requests for information, including subpoena response compliance

  • Coordinate with student interns, and administrative support personnel

  • Provide administrative support to Labor and Employment attorneys

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of legal field experience)

  • Minimum of 1 year of paralegal training or experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of law firm or corporate legal department experience

Desired Characteristics:

  • Computer competency

  • Experience with administration of alternative dispute resolution procedures for employment law claims

  • Experience with the investigation and defense of state and federal labor / employment law claims, litigation processes, and administrative compliance and enforcement actions

  • Law firm or corporate legal department service

  • Strong organization, leadership, coordination and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work on multiple matters at once and meet deadlines

  • Knowledge of databases with ability to organize, retrieve, and manipulate data for reporting

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
