Role Summary:

The Administrative Associate will provide administrative and clerical support to the Engineering leadership team and employees.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, as the Administrative Associate, you will:

  • Schedule meetings and daily appointments

  • Receive and place telephone calls on behalf of the Engineering leaders

  • Make travel arrangements

  • Generate letters, reports, memorandum, presentations, general correspondence and other documents as assigned

  • Receive, review and distribute all incoming correspondence and documents to proper individuals for action

  • Review expense accounts and related administrative documents requiring Section Leader approval

  • Organize and maintain an efficient filing system for correspondence, records, reference data, reports and sensitive documents

  • Other duties as assigned by Engineering leader Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • A minimum of 2 years of secretarial, clerical or administrative assistant experience ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Working knowledge of GE organizations, policies and procedures

  • Experience in handling phone systems and other office technology as required

  • Experience supporting Engineering organization
