General Electric Production Supervision Team Leader in Erlanger, Kentucky

Job Description Summary

GE Aviation is looking for a Production Supervision Team leader to join our team at the Erlanger Distribution Facility. The Production Supervision Team Leader supervises hourly Union employees on the shop floor and is ultimately responsible for daily operations and productivity in order to meet the needs to the customer. Their team focuses on logistics operations such as material receipt, picking, packing, and delivery in order to support both internal and external customers.

The Production Supervision Team Leader will be supervising the facility’s weekend shift, which covers Friday through Monday, 3pm – 1:30am. Standard work schedule 4 10 hour shifts.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversight, management, and coaching of front-line hourly Union employees.

  • Execute site safety and compliance strategies.

  • Manage and execute staffing for the shift to ensure shift performance and customer demands are met.

  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

  • Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

  • Collaborate with other site supervisors for shift handoffs, communicating shift metrics and progress.

  • Collaborate with and communicate to in internal and external customers. Explains technical information to others.

  • Reports key delivery metrics and utilizes data to drive actions.

  • Develops and executes plans to ensure business goals are met.

  • Develops communication method to team.

  • Identifies productivity trends via data analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution (OR a High school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in a supply chain or manufacturing role)
