General Electric CNC Machinist - Intermediate in Erlanger, Kentucky
Job Description Summary
The Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist - will work at the Erlanger, KY Service Center to service and manufacture large scale, power generation equipment along with their subassemblies by following blueprints and specific work instructions.
As the CNC Machinist - horizontal boring mill you will:
Work in a shop environment safely with zero accidents and/or injuries
Set-up and operate CNC Lathe Tools
Read CNC programs, familiar with G & M codes
Make minor edits to CNC programs
Read and interpret Engineered Blue Print dwgs
Understand and apply geometric tolerances
Set up and safely use various inspection tools and gages (i.e. inner diameter (I/D) & outer diameter (O/D) Mics, calipers, Pi-tape, bore gages, Tri-mics, thread gages, etc...)
Machine to required tolerances of .001” - .005”
Determine machining feeds and speeds and tool selections
Work effectively with team to ensure successful delivery to customer
High school Diploma / GED
Minimum 5 years CNC Machining Experience
Ability and willingness and able to work any shift and all overtime as
scheduled. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor
