General Electric Sourcing Supplier Representative – Structural Castings in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey

Role Summary:

As a Sourcing Supplier Representative, you will drive delivery improvement through deep analysis of the supplier processes in order to enable the successful resolution of process deviations. You will own supplier performance / process improvement planning and drive coordination between the supplier and Avio Aero as necessary to achieve performance metrics. This role will cover suppliers based in Arizona, California and Oregon.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure supplier process capability and initiate process improvement sessions as necessary throughout production process

  • Engage Sourcing Supplier development team as necessary to ensure production quality metrics

  • Support Sourcing Supplier development team in the process evaluation of supplier organizations as necessary

  • Engage Supplier Quality and Engineering teams as needed

  • Solve issues and develop solutions to ensure new and innovative approaches

  • Balance both tactical execution and strategic initiatives as necessary to drive cost reduction projects

  • Work with cross functional teams

  • Lead all the improvement actions at supplier locations to ensure that the product will be supplied at the appropriate quality level and on time

  • Establish a relationship with the GE Aviation team to ensure the right level of networking to enable effective communication and corrective action

  • Regularly communicate with Avio Aero / GE Aviation management on supplier performance Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, supplier management or related field

  • Willingness and ability to travel a minimum of 50% Desired Characteristics:

  • 7 years or more of relevant experience highly preferred

  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing quality processes

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, and execute programs

  • Established project management skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
