Job Description Summary
Drive technology development and validation of new blade technology. Responsible for technical development and validation of the technical solutions so it is ready for implementation. Planning and executing the activities and securing proactive communication to main stakeholders.
Lead an engineering project team with the target to mature and de-risk the new technology to meet the standards for safety, quality, cycle time and cost.
Roles and Responsibilities
Technical project management for new technology projects.
Responsible for validation and qualification of the new technology concept/system incl. strength, process, materials, repair, equipment and moulds so it is ready for implementation in production and fast ramp up
New Tech development and validation according to the new technology development manual.
Lead new technical development and validation of new technology in the lab. including solutions for components, process, manufacturing, equipment, moulds, repair etc.
Ensure that the new technology, equipment and moulds are developed and de-risked and can meet targets for safety, quality, cycle time and cost before plant implementation.
Establish a team with resources from relevant departments and connecting to Chief Engineering office.
Ensure that the technical content of the documentation for the developed technology is ready for production.
Participate in the first plant implementation to validate and mature the technology at full scale.
Responsible for the Technical Readiness Level (TRL) evaluation for the new technology.
Communication of tech. development status, uncertainty, budget and risk to relevant stakeholders.
Work closely with the Technical Management team to deliver according to agreements for plant implementation.
Responsible for the risk evaluation of the technology
Responsible for de-risking of the technology by use of Technical DFMEA and PFMEA.
Project Management of technical composites projects and has knowledge of best practices for how to manage a technology project.
Are able to work together with engineers and technicians at the shopfloor in laboratories, workshops and plants. Ability to listen, discuss, learn and guide.
Can drive decisions and provide a clear and understandable communication on complex content to all stakeholders.
Ability to build a high-performance project team with focus on teamwork.
Are able to work with complex technology development and validation and has ability to facilitate and propose different solutions for design, process and production.
Uses structured de-risking tools, has technical experience and analytical thinking.
Uses multiple sources outside to arrive at decisions
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Engineering/Technology & Project Management
Minimum of 3 years of technical knowledge of composite and blade manufacturing
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
