General Electric Sr Finance Manager - FP&A Operations in East Flat Rock, North Carolina

Role Summary:

The Sr Finance Manager will:

  • Provide financial leadership and support to Global Sourcing & Fulfillment GM, managing $0.6Bn Global Direct Material Cost and $140MM inventory and $90MM payables

  • Develop financial modeling to support S&OP processes; defining Sales demand planning, production requirements and Inventory forecasting Essential Responsibilities: Additionally, as the Sr Finance Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with Supply Chain segment leaders, demand planners and Material managers to develop robust material strategies and improve Inventory efficiencies

  • Facilitate Inventory health discussions across Supply Chain, Product Management and Commercial team, to drive cash optimization and mitigate slow moving inventory and obsolescence risk

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain FP&A and Commercial Finance to track Global Value Gap and inflation impact on Product Line Profitability

  • Support, engage and develop key partnerships with Sourcing & fulfilment team to identify opportunities, operational risks and drive realization of cost-out (deflation), Service excellence and cash improvement goals

  • Work with Sourcing commodity leaders and manufacturing plants, on planning, analysis, reporting and forecasting deflation and purchases

  • Drive AP Cash improvement opportunities through vendor payment terms and GE Capital TPS cash discount program

  • Lead all planning cycles include OP Plan, estimates, SII and QMIs

  • Consolidate Sourcing & Fulfillment updates and prepare Supply Chain estimates, R&Os and action plans

  • Drive controllership in Inventory obsolescence, supplier contracts, and rebates

  • Ensure accuracy of the company financial results by preventing misrepresentation, concealment, or omission of information

  • Ensure full disclosure of potential contracts having derivative treatments, and coordinate reviews with Treasury and Controllership

  • Work with Sourcing team and Manufacturing to develop inventory cost standards

  • Perform closing activities, consolidation and review of working capital and deflation

  • Monitor supplier financial risk

  • PLEASE NOTE : Work Location Listed is East Flat Rock, NC. However, this position may also be eligible at our East Cleveland, OH location. Therefore, we will consider candidates from both locations Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college

  • 6 years of experience performing analysis, reporting, compliance, planning, and audit responsibilities

  • 3 years of experience in a finance role with a global component

  • 3 years of experience in driving financial process rigor and roll-ups ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:
