General Electric Senior Marketing Development Manager in East Cleveland, Ohio

Role Summary:

The role of Senior Marketing Development Manager will be a strategic position and a visible point of contact for marketing strategy and execution focusing on building strong customer relationships and co-develop marketing strategies to deliver on revenue targets and drive category growth across the various Automotive segments for Lighting.

Essential Responsibilities:

The individual in the Senior Marketing Development Manager role will work closely with the Global Marketing manager, following Guidelines on corporate branding.

Additionally, as the Senior Marketing Development Manager, Key Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as visible point of contact for marketing strategy and execution for key automotive account to drive revenue and exceed growth targets

  • Build deep expertise and recommend, create and implement innovative and relevant segment (Traditional, Retail, Heavy Duty …) programs that leverage all Tungsram capabilities including:

  • signage

  • secondary placement

  • education material

  • promotional activities

  • digital advertising

  • and co-marketing activities

  • Enable sales teams to amplify promotions that are aligned to the Tungsram Global and NA Marketing strategy

  • Utilize consumer insights and competitive intelligence to develop research and learning agenda. Develop and translate insights from all sources into channel / customer specific strategies for brand growth

  • Work with the Digital Marketing COE to execute segment specific digital programs that arraigned with our overall digital strategy

  • Identify, plan and manage NA organization’s advertising, promotion, publicity activities and budgets including:

  • print

  • electronic

  • direct mail

  • tradeshow activities

  • web and direct marketing

  • promotional items

  • training and training materials

  • sponsorships etc.

  • Work with Product management and Technology to analyze product and brand performance, prepare reports and material for successful launch of all new products / categories

  • Work with Product Management to maintain Industry Data through various 3rd party suppliers and to the auto industry along with cross reference information and updates to key accounts

  • Work with NA Sales team to develop key account POG (Plan-O-Grams) and POP (Point of Purchase) materials Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Sales, Branding or Marketing (Including hands on execution experience; Strategic / tactical skills for developing and executing plans)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – must be able to work closely with customer ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:

  • Proven active reporting, analyzing and measuring efficiencies of marketing activities in all channels

  • Proven track record of managing creative agency relationships

  • Results oriented with attention to detail

  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills

  • Ability to effectively interact and influence internally and externally at all levels of the organization – work in a multifunctional and multinational environment

  • Ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution

  • Proven ability to manage cross-function support groups to build a consumer brand from the ground up
