Role Summary:

A successful candidate will have:

  • Resourcefulness to effectively leverage technology and resourcesThis position reports to the Tax Controller and focuses on Business global accounting for income taxes and US corporate income tax compliance, with additional responsibilities for sub-business unit tax matters. Essential Responsibilities: Additionally, as the Assistant Tax Controller, key responsibilities will include: Accounting for Income Taxes:

  • Compile information and reports to support the Global quarterly and annual global income tax provision, focusing on Effective Tax Rate analysis, ASC 740 Reconciliations and Uncertain Tax position requirements

  • Liaise with Controllership and FP&A groups to prepare and record US Tax entries to the General Ledger

  • Prepare quarterly analysis and reconciliation of US income tax accounts, including deferred tax validation

  • Leverage income tax provision calculator (TPC) tool and streamline income tax accounting reconciliations

  • Complete US income tax return compliance

  • Prepare income tax forecasts for income statement and cash flow purposes

  • Supplement auto conversion of trial balance data into US tax return tool inputs

  • Financial and technical analyses of book-tax differences including provision to return reconciliations

  • Compile and report state apportionment data Other:

  • Assist optimization projects including deferral accounting methods, legal entity simplification initiatives, state nexus, and credits and incentive programs

  • Manage inquiries from federal and state taxing authorities

  • Research tax issues as needed

  • Develop relationships throughout Business Unit Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree focused in Accounting from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 6 years of public accounting or comparable industry experience {Including experience with data base reporting tools and general ledger ERP systems (e.g. SAP)} Desired Characteristics:

  • CPA Preferred

  • MST a plus

  • Blend of "Big 4" and industry experience

  • Accomplishments of technical learning, integrity, accountability and speed

  • Confident communication skills with an effective style to reach global peers regarding accounting for income tax results and reconciliations

  • Well organized, detail-oriented and proactive
