General Electric Sr Global & Key Accounts Staff Director in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Role Summary:The Middle East Account Sr. Global & Key Accounts Director will be responsible for identifying and developing military sales/growth opportunities for Aviation in the region. In this role, you will be responsive to the external environment - translating ideas to develop strategies and programs to elicit change to achieve business objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, the individual will be responsible for growing the military business in the Middle East region.

They will also:

  • Own the customer relationship from the C-suite down and facilitates senior GE leadership engagement to win business and develop deep ties with customers in the region

  • Possess a deep understanding of the customers’ vision(s), business model, regional market and competitors, as well as GE Aviation’s business unit priorities and growth initiatives

  • Lead strategic account planning which includes spirited growth objectives and clearly expressed value propositions, development jointly with the customer and MSO P&L account teams

  • Build effective relationships across the GE P&Ls to ensure alignment of priorities

  • Effectively navigate across organization boundaries to optimize results

  • Lead pre-positioning of key opportunities, influences customer needs and drives pre-Intent to Order activities

  • Guide development of capture plans to drive growth across the military portfolio with GE account teams / businesses

  • Proactively engage in business issues across the life cycle

  • Deeply understands the customer’s fleet

  • Is a visible part of the GE Customer Teams

  • Provide expertise and insight into the region military priorities, budgets, import / export requirements, procurement and policy procedures

  • Provide insight into long term trends and market conditions for GE Aviation products and services

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Global and Key Accounts

Desired Characteristics:

  • Previous experience leading teams with direct reports

  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining effective customer relationships at C-suite level and down

  • Proven success at influencing and leading P&L and cross functional teams in a matrix organization

  • Previous experience leading the enterprise relationship with one or more designated customer accounts

  • Demonstrated capability to penetrate and expand the customer’s account by creating new growth opportunities for GE

  • Validated success interfacing with the multiple cultures across the middle east region

  • Customer oriented work-style: demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into profitable business solutions

  • Top-Notch interpersonal skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of military and other government and aerospace industries in the region

  • Familiar with gas turbine technology, military jet engine products and services
