The Lead Reliability Engineer is responsible for requirements relating to the performance of GE products are satisfied. In the role of Lead Reliability Engineer, you will apply and perform various reliability processes & tools, striving towards standardized process implementation across the business. The Lead Reliability Engineer plays a significant role in assessing product performance to support our customers through reporting & proactive failure trending and early identification of issues.
In addition, the Lead Reliability Engineer will :
Support the in-service reliability product portfolio through the use of appropriate problem solving techniques and processes to provide :
Regular rhythm for product, system, or platform reliability reporting for military, civil and business jets, using data from a variety of sources, with a keen eye for detail and methodical approach
Reliability analysis to include categorization, statistical calculation (MTBF / MTBUR), failure modes and identification of significant issues affecting product performance
Monitoring of product performance issues through use of an early warning system to alleviate potential increased warranty and repair cost burden to the business, while supporting the customer’s need for reliable product
Analysis of failure trends at both the aircraft system, product, and component level to identify the key reliability drivers and opportunities
Provide technical analysis and support relating to product performance within a contract
Provide detailed reliability statistics to support future sales / modelling initiatives
Participation in Failure Review Boards and supporting the Systems FRACAS process
Standardize the business’s reliability analysis methods and implement the necessary tools and process to drive simplicity, efficiency and accuracy
Responsible for reporting and presenting reliability data to a variety of stakeholders including customers
Develops and manages individual work plans / schedules and clearly communicates risk to completion in a timely manner
Collaborative work environment with peers relating to reliability methodology and tools
Use of appropriate technical data to support reliability analysis and investigations
Create, review and obtain / provide feedback on new and revised policies and procedures relating to the reliability group
Supports the investigation and collation of engineering hours required to support contract proposals
Complies with import and export regulations in accordance with business and government legislation relating to data sharing, communication and technical discussions
Communicate technical content to satisfy customer requests through the use of appropriate media (e.g. presentation) to a variety of stakeholders at all levels

Bachelor's degree in an engineering, mathematics, or statistical discipline or related field from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Engineering environment (Including Aerospace industry or Aviation products and experience performing reliability engineering activities) ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

Knowledge and understanding of the Aerospace industry or Aviation products and experience performing reliability engineering activities
Core competence in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Access, and PowerPoint with the ability to adapt to a variety of IT tools
Ability to drive improvements in efficiency Problem Solving – analyzing and identifying or proposing solutions to problems using a wide range of data
Technical Communication : presentation of technical information both verbal and written, adapting material for the target audience
Project Management : Aware of the organization and executions of projects and tasks to meet defined deliverables
Customer Centric : Aware of customer requirements and translates into clear deliverables
