General Electric TDI Senior Sourcing Initiatives Leader in Dayton, Ohio

Role Summary:The Senior Sourcing Initiatives Leader will establish and execute sourcing strategies and processes to develop complex and comprehensive supplier / buyer contractual relationships to support assigned program & product needs across the business.

Essential Responsibilities:This role requires a deep understanding of strategic sourcing concepts, approaches and methodologies.

Additionally, responsibilities will include:

  • Develop strategies and drives negotiations to meet the quality, fulfillment, and productivity requirements of the business

  • Create and execute strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction

  • Presents product / program strategies, sourcing road maps, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders

  • Communicates recommendations and solutions across direct organization and with cross-functional partner organizations

  • Acts frequently as a project leader in projects involving the business and other functions

  • Review and improve procurement and sourcing processes, as well as take on special initiatives across sourcing to identify and deliver value-adding opportunities from the supply chain

  • Negotiate the best commercial and technical package for procurement requirements

  • Lead negotiations of long term contracts and allocate needs to specific suppliers

  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sourcing Initiatives, Supply Chain, or Procurement
