General Electric TDI Senior Sourcing Initiatives Leader in Dayton, Ohio
Role Summary:The Senior Sourcing Initiatives Leader will establish and execute sourcing strategies and processes to develop complex and comprehensive supplier / buyer contractual relationships to support assigned program & product needs across the business.
Essential Responsibilities:This role requires a deep understanding of strategic sourcing concepts, approaches and methodologies.
Additionally, responsibilities will include:
Develop strategies and drives negotiations to meet the quality, fulfillment, and productivity requirements of the business
Create and execute strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction
Presents product / program strategies, sourcing road maps, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders
Communicates recommendations and solutions across direct organization and with cross-functional partner organizations
Acts frequently as a project leader in projects involving the business and other functions
Review and improve procurement and sourcing processes, as well as take on special initiatives across sourcing to identify and deliver value-adding opportunities from the supply chain
Negotiate the best commercial and technical package for procurement requirements
Lead negotiations of long term contracts and allocate needs to specific suppliers
Ability to influence others and lead small teams
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sourcing Initiatives, Supply Chain, or Procurement
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
Established project management skills
