Job Description Summary
Activities contributing to the design, structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis, and qualification of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement and development of aerospace power generation products and components. Roles and Responsibilities
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned aerospace power generation projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis and test/qualification for all products.
Developing specialized knowledge in the structural and dynamic analysis discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Mechanical Component. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
For roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
Has significant structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis experience for aerospace components using relevant and industry standard tools and techniques.
Supports and defines data processing from shaker testing or test stand operations. This includes spectrograms, waterfalls and peak-hold plots, and order tracking and identification.
Defines and executes component qualification testing as owner of vibration/acceleration testing.
Performs test director responsibilities while monitoring dynamic testing.
Creates and/or reviews Qualification Test Procedures and official Qualification Reports to ensure proper technical content.
Processes data as necessary to evaluate acceptability of performance levels in timely fashion to allow quick disposition of test articles.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
