General Electric Lead Quality Systems Specialist in Dayton, Ohio
Job Description Summary
As the Lead Manufacturing Specialist-Quality Systems, you’ll bring your knowledge of QMS/ISO 9001/AS9100 to GE Dayton, where you will be responsible for working closely with Quality Manager/Site Leadership to improve and maintain a QMS and take site through necessary milestones to achieve quality certification(s.) in an additional facility to our footprint. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining systems, rules, and processes for internal/external requirements.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensuring document management system (in all formats) is at most current revision levels
Drafting and coordinating issuance of quality policies and procedures which requires working with other team members to complete necessary AS/ISO documents
Interpreting and implementing and evaluating adequacy of quality assurance standards
Develop quality training material and facilitate training sessions
Collaborate with Site Leadership to ensure that required certifications for product acceptance and developed and maintained
Lead internal audit program and conduct site internal audits
Provide inputs, assist, and lead process improvements as it pertains to QMS
Support Mfg./Process Engineering during process planning and NPI/Legacy activities
Support of implementation of digitization of documents and transition from Legacy
Support Central
Overall ownership of the Covalent Certification system
Manage the gage calibration system and those employees for calibration
Manage and delegate audits as required to support the needs of the business
Lead onsite audits with registrars
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality and specifically implementation/management of quality management system
Technically skilled to communicate at all levels of management (engineering and operations)
Strong knowledge with ISO 9001:/AS9100 and ability to translate to complex mfg./design facility
