General Electric Integrated Product Team Lead – Electrical Power in Dayton, Ohio
The EPISCenter Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead will have responsibility for providing technical and project direction to a team of engineers in the development of Electrical Power System products. In this role, you will utilize your experience/expertise to develop project plans and execute to those objectives to affect short-term and long-term business goals.
The EPISCenter IPT Lead will have the following responsibilities:
Work with the Engineering Project Manager to define team objectives/plans that meet the internal and external customer's commitments
Lead the execution of design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Be accountable for your team's delivery to meet technical requirements, quality, project schedule, and non-recurring/recurring budgets
Recommend approaches to meet the technical and program requirements
Actively manage program risks and opportunities, and develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
Provide technical leadership to other personnel and assigned teams; mentor others in the organization
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments
Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews to both internal and external customers
Cultivate strong relationships with your customers
Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading engineering teams in development activities
- This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
Experience with Electrical Power Systems in the aviation/aerospace industry new business pursuit / proposal development
Experience in Project Management and Earned Value Management processes
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
Experience in working directly with customers and their leadership
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to guide and influence others
Demonstrated process orientation in approach to work
Self-motivated and driven
