Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead GE Power Aeroderivatives New units Business Development campaigns across selected countries in the region, targeted at growing the Aeroderivatives deal pipeline;

  • Monitor and analyze market/regional dynamics and competitor activities impacting the penetration of Aeroderivative gas turbines;

  • Develop and implement demand creation strategies targeted at growing the Aeroderivative gas turbines deal pipeline and track deals for closure in collaboration with the sub-regional sales team;

  • Establish and maintain strong customer network and engagements at appropriate decision-maker levels; Interface directly and actively with the key customers and stakeholders in the region;

  • Collaborate with the regional sales, commercial and technical colleagues to develop customer value proposition and solutions to customer and market needs;

  • Support customers in developing project concept and partnership approach leading to bankable, competitive projects with GE equipment pull through ;

  • The position requires working as part of a cross-functional team in the GE Power business, Aero COE and EMEA pole across Sales, Marketing, Service, Commercial Operations, ITR (Inquiry to Remittance) handoff, Commercial Finance and Project Management.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical and Commercial educational background

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant commercial sales experience in the SSA energy market, preferably with experience in the commercial and industrial (C&I) space

  • Deep knowledge of the market trends and dynamics in the SSA power generation market

  • Proven strategic skills to ensure growth and at the same time hands-on mentality in execution

  • Strong customer orientation and external focus

  • Very good communication and negotiation skills (oral & written)

  • Proven track record of sales and account leadership

  • High level of Integrity

  • Good analytical skills

  • Knowledge of the local market and culture

  • Fluent in local regional language and English

  • Willingness to travel
