General Electric Services Sales Manager – Rotating Machines in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania

Job Description Summary

The Services Sales Leader for rotating machines is responsible for developing customers, closing orders, manage existing installed base and bringing the overall services strategy for the region.

He/She will be responsible for the successful development of customer relationships through direct customer engagement and in close coordination with America’s Services team.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the set quarterly and annual Services operational plan targets (orders and margin) for the region.

  • Manage Rotating Machines installed base focusing on spare parts, field services, repair services and refurbishment offerings

  • Taps into existing relationships with key GE customers, as well as builds new relationships to deliver Services value propositions

  • Coordinate with the respective quoting and business teams to structure winning proposals

  • Single point of customer contact to address commercial and technical requirements for the Services proposals, including technical presentation to all levels of the customer organization

  • Interface with the various internal stakeholders (regional and HQ) to ensure a coordinated and compliant sales process (including pacing, booking and handover as required)

  • Participate in the overall commercial process rhythm

  • Maintain and provide accurate SFDC opportunity records in a timely manner

  • Engage with regional ITO / OTR teams in order to address customer challenges raised during customer engagements

  • Link the regional pipeline with the global fulfillment teams in order to achieve short- to mid-term orders targets

Qualifications/Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; preferably Mechanical or Electrical

  • Minimum 5 years of experience selling or working with customers on Medium Voltage Motors

Desired Characteristics :

  • 5 years in Sales experience selling Medium Voltage motors/service motors

  • Experience dealing with Service Portfolio

  • Demonstrated inclusive behavior with success in leading or working in a matrix organization

  • Demonstrated clear thinking with effective communication at all levels

  • Strong influencing skills

  • Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a successful sales growth track record

  • Relevant IT knowledge
