General Electric QC Materials Analyst in Cork, Ireland

Job Description Summary

As a QC Materials Analyst, you will ensure all analysis are performed in a timely, compliant and efficient manner so as to meet logistical needs. You will also be responsible for preparation and control of standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with cGMP guidelines at all times. You will perform routine instrument calibration checks at appropriate times and assist in the provision of trends.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Sampling and analysis of all bulk materials, excipients, components and packaging materials

  • Retaining of samples for Chemistry and Packaging

  • Updating the retain database as required

  • Actively involved in investigations eg LIRs.

  • Ensure compliance with EHS at all times, actively participate in EHS activities.

  • Assist in audits

  • Generation and reporting of Key Performance Indicators for the group.

  • Be proactive in approach planning for future and implement improvements in an effective manner.

  • Develop areas of expertise in analytical testing in order to solve technical issues.

  • Ensure compliance with current pharmacopeia’s and all regulatory/company guidelines.

  • Interaction with other departments.

  • Keep colleagues informed of current issues and developments as appropriate.

  • Assist in the training and up skilling of colleagues.

  • Overtime may be required to facilitate the business needs.

  • Liaising with internal and external customers e.g. planning/QA etc.

  • Carry out additional duties as deemed necessary by your group leader/manager.

Qualifications and experience

  • A third level science qualification (or equivalent)

  • ​Basic experience in a QC Materials Analyst related field

Desirable skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Pharmaceutical experience in an FDA environment advantageous

  • Knowledge of SAP advantageous

Eligibility requirements

A good level of English and a valid work permit
