Job Description Summary
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The graduate programme is a 2-year fixed term programme designed to give a recent graduate industry experience. The role is designed in such a way as to give an ambitious graduate exposure to analytical testing as well as leadership skills. This is done through involvement in projects with a view to eventually running their own project. The aim is to develop the graduate into a more senior QC role following completion of the programme.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The programme is designed to consist of 4 six month rotations where the candidate will work with different mentors and will work on tasks and projects of increasing complexity and responsibility.
Initially the candidate will learn the basics of chemical analysis and will support the on time release of product from the QC laboratory.
Performing routine analysis on finished product and stability samples, ensuring turnaround times are achieved.
Perform routine analysis and approval of WFI samples.
Performing routine instrument calibrations and calibration checks.
Ensuring compliance with cGMP guidelines at all times.
Entering and approving results on LIMS.
Completion of quarterly and annual trends.
Completion and closure of Trackwise items and LIR’s.
The candidate will then move to working with more senior members of the team on laboratory projects.
Eventually this will lead to the candidate for their final rotation to identify an opportunity for a project and to lead it to completion under the mentorship of the QC manager.

Willingness to work on own initiative and the ambition to progress.
Must hold an BSC. Hons degree in a microbiological field and have graduated within the past year.
Experience of leading a science, based project would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
