General Electric PWR_O&M - Warehouse Technician in Cork, Ireland
Job Description Summary
Based at Whitegate Power Station, the Warehouse Technician is responsible to receive, check, store, release and compile transaction records of parts and materials according to applicable procedures and to inform the sourcing specialist for necessary replenishment.
As Warehouse Technician you report to the Maintenance Manager and:
Maintain a high safety conscious working environment in the warehouse and ensure compliance with all company and legislative Environmental, Health & Safety requirements
Receive and check parts, tools and materials and record details (Identification number, Quantity, prices, etc…) of items stored in the power plant's warehouse.
Check possible damages at reception of any material and report it whenever necessary
Label, register and locate parts, tools and materials
Compile all records related to stock items handling, ensure accuracy and completeness of transaction records and Feed the CMMS with store management information
Release parts, tools and materials to site personnel for their daily activities in compliance with procedure in place (Work Order for example)
Ensure availability of MSDS for any chemical item stored in the warehouse
Prepare outgoing material for shipping
Ensure tools and material are maintained in good condition, appropriately checked and calibrated when applicable
Work with other members of the team to maintain good relations with all parties.
Co-ordinate Request for Quotes , Supplier Selection Approval Process and Price negotiation.
Lead and proactively manage issues related to supplier fulfilment.
Issue Purchase Orders using sound purchasing practices and applicable company and government regulations.
Perform additional duties as required
Knowledge of procurement and warehouse management
Three years’ experience in Stores management
Forklift driver’s license
