Job Description Summary
This role is part of Healthcare Imaging MR modality. This site designs and manufactures RF coils used in MRI systems. This role will be part of our engineering team. The focus of this role will be part of new product development and life cycle management.
Roles and Responsibilities
Supporting the Program Manager or other leaders, ensures that multi-functional projects integrate properly within the product/program. Optimize team performance across the program value chain, functionally and technically.
Ability to proactively manage cross-functional interdependencies to maximize team efficiency and avoid gaps/delays in mid to long-term execution. Anticipate integration issues and discern appropriate actions to progress the team forward. Connects planning and cross-functional impacts of product NPI, Installed Base, Obsolescence and End-of Life.
Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
BS in Engineering or related discipline
3 or more years relevant engineering work experience in a medical device field in a product development or installed based support role or equivalent.
Understanding of engineering product development processes for medical devices.
Project management experience in a cross-functional team environment.
Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets.
MS in Engineering or relevant discipline.
Demonstrated technical leadership capability in integration activities.
Working knowledge of Electromagnetics, Antenna Theory & Design, Mechanical and Thermal aspects of sub-system design and packaging.
Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task.
Global project experience.
Knowledge of UL/ETL/IEC standards and how they apply to designs.
Working knowledge of GEHC tools and processes.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
