General Electric Warehouse Fulfillment Leader in Clearwater, Florida

Role Summary:

The Warehouse Fulfillment Leader will own and lead all material processes from stores to floor, including, picking, kitting, VLM (Vertical Lift Module) and RTS (Return to Stock). WFL will also own preservation and conformance of stores, it’s periodic assessment and cycle counting.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Warehouse Fulfillment Leader, you will provide domain expertise and technical support to team(s) assigned to your length of the supply chain, as well as develop, collate, report and recommend projects gleaned from relevant metrics. Lead continuous improvement projects in your area of responsibility and drive VCP (variable cost productivity) in the same. Responsible for documenting, tracking and trending: safety, overall cost, service, compliance, productivity and performance metrics. This person will identify and implement actions to improve process quality, as well as accelerate and support change efforts aimed at achieving organizational goals. Includes activities such as, but not limited to: processing transactions, auditing, managing processes, material management and cross functional employee engagement.

In the role of Warehouse Fulfillment Leader, you will:

  • Be an HSE champion – promote and example employment of the 5 HSE fundamentals; support an interdependent safety culture

  • Facilitate outbound material traffic, material from stores and customer service

  • Work with operations to understand and communicate priorities

  • Liaise with other functions and teams about improvement in processes, procedures and ways of working

  • Perform material and stores defect root-cause investigation, analysis and resolutionBuild process and reporting metrics to manage and track order fulfillment quality

  • Overcome road blocks to ensure timely and compliant schedule attainment

  • Drive warehousing optimization / Lean projects

  • Leverage and model communication and analytical skills to drive and influence action

  • Be able to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization

  • Have proven ability to execute, multi-task and deliver on commitments

  • Perform other duties as necessary Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or 10 years work experience in logistics, material management, warehousing and/or supply chain management

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, material management, warehousing and/or supply chain management Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated progressive experience in a warehouse / distribution operations environment

  • Lean Six Sigma / APICS certification

  • Superior SAP knowledge, strong Excel skills including macro development and some computer coding experience

  • Ability to influence others and lead ad hoc teams

  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact

  • Capability to coordinate several projects simultaneously

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Power Point and Word

  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
