Job Description Summary
Technical Sales Specialist covering Industrial Power Sensing products in Clearwater, FL
Provide technical support including quotations for Power Sensing for Industrial and OEM customers. Most of the business is in NAM, but there will be global support required for quotations and technical assistance.
Support Industrial customers in the NAM region for Application Engineering assistance
Working with the engineering team on new design requirements to meet customer specifications
Ensure quotations are meeting the business margin targets. Work closely with the Product Management team.
Track large quotations and determine success or hit rate with customers and territories
As required join the tendering calls for on the opportunity with the region Sales Specialist and Factory team
Build & maintain relationships with the regional Sales Specialist, Channel partners, and the Grid Solutions sales force to drive market share growth
Work directly with Customers to influence equipment specifications
Provide sales training to the Sales team and Channels including opportunity qualification, competitive positioning, specification influence, and other initiatives as required
Participate in assessing the performance of sales Channels to make changes or additions as appropriate to grow orders and sales
Be accountable for growing the Industrial market share and meeting or exceeding the orders, sales plan, and margin plan of the business
Provide customer training and participate in customer on-site meeting as required
Provide an essential technical link from the customer to commercial operations, marketing, engineering, and product development teams
Provide Industrial/OEM market and competitive intelligence to the team
Work jointly with Product Management/Engineering/Supply chain teams to drive development and delivery of new products and services to meet customer needs and improve customer satisfaction
Assist in partner marketing activities such as tradeshows and other promotional activities as required
Manage expenses within budget
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college
Experience in Industrial and/or Utility Instrument Transformers
Training in Technical Sales and applications
Ability to travel
Experience in the Transmission & Distribution industry
Technical background with Instrument Transformers
Proven success working with customers
Strong communication, presentation, and training skills
Must be a motivator, self-starter, and dedicated team player
Proven team skills and ability to manage in a diversified technical and commercial network
