General Electric Production Supervision Specialist in Clearwater, Florida

Role Summary:

The Production Supervision Manager - Repair Station will Supervise Repair Station personnel and coordinate day to day repair work load to maintain customer required turnaround time (TAT).

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, as the Production Supervision Manager - Repair Station, you will:

  • Ensure all Repair Station personnel observe and understand all company policies and procedures

  • Including the established procedures of overhaul and repair work IAW approved technical data

  • Review and plan the use of assigned personnel and equipment to ensure efficient scheduling of repaired components

  • Ensure communication and cause of repair not meeting TAT with recovery plan

  • Ensure quality of work performed through routine quality checks

  • Manage assigned personnel skills and qualifications to ensure cross training

  • Ensure personnel are trained and/or qualified to perform their job function

  • Engage team members input to support an employee driven culture which builds employee satisfaction

  • Track the flow of assigned products from order entry to shipment to ensure required TAT

  • Track resource allocation to ensure efficient use of man hours and equipment up time

  • Track vouchered hours and address variances with plans of improvement

  • Facilitate group / product line problem solving activities

  • Ensure Repair Station personnel observe and understand all safety practices and procedures

  • Collaborate with personnel and team members to develop a lean culture of TAT improvement

  • Understand and maintain requirements of certifying Air Agencies

  • Monitor expected work load to determine manpower and equipment requirements

  • Train and mentor Repair Station personnel to develop growth and knowledge


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation repair)

  • 4 years of manufacturing experience


  • Ability to meet the requirements of FAA part 65 and 145

  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

  • A&P License with previous aviation supervision experience
