Job Description
Essential Responsibilities :
Utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals
Develop and maintain manufacturing test instructions and related documentation
Design and build / procure necessary fixtures and programming to test electronic assemblies and products
Support test equipment upgrades from purchase through installation
Conduct cost / benefit analysis for changes to test processes and / or equipment
Support EHS projects in cell
Drive Process Improvement / Cycle Reduction initiatives and drive productivity improvements via process changes or improvements
Ensure processes contribute to a safe work environment
Identify and reduce sources of labor efficiency variations
Identify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variation
Support the quality function through integration of ISO / QC documentation and manufacturing test instructions
Lead high impact process and quality improvement projects yielding significant reduction in defects and increased productivity in the Cell
Attend weekly cross-functional quality sessions and track / drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for Cell issues
Lead New Technology Initiatives (NTI) and share best practices with other locations
Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs and increase capacity
Qualifications/Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Operations (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 7 years of Manufacturing and/or Operations experience)
Desired Characteristics :
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Subject from an accredited university or college
Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and electronic schematics
Strong electrical and electronic design ability
Experience programming and de-bugging in-circuit and / or flying probe test systems and programs
Experience with automated functional test systems used for electronic assemblies, avionics products and / or power supplies
Prior manufacturing test improvement accomplishments
Ability to manage priorities and achieve results
Prior exposure to and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
JMO or JOLP / OMLP Graduate
Strong Project Management skills
Strong manufacturing process knowledge
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Six Sigma training
