General Electric Tableau Analytics Engineer in Cincinnati, Ohio

Role Summary:

As a Tableau Analytics Engineering Specialist, you will analyze and visualize our vast operational data on IT infrastructure. You will build visualization on platforms such as Tableau and provide support to help measure and drive our infrastructure operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage the creation/maintenance of users, groups and workbooks

  • Analyze user requirements and build BI report on Tableau according to specifications

  • Create formulas and calculations within Tableau to meet the needs of complex business logic

  • Develop new reports and enhance existing reports

  • Build & Manage Data sources connecting to various kinds of data sources (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)

  • Perform Regular server admin / maintenance activities. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with 2 years of professional software engineering experience OR Associates degree in “STEM” with 4 years of professional software engineering experience

  • GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job Desired Characteristics:

  • Data visualization experience, preferably in Tableau

  • Data warehousing and BI experience

  • Knowledge of Tableau report performance optimization

  • Experience with Python scripting is preferred

  • SQL experience is highly preferred

  • Display excellent oral and written presentation skills

  • Basic understanding of IT service administration (monitoring of performance issues, patching etc.) is preferred.
