General Electric Principal Enterprise Architect, Developer Tools in Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Description Summary

As part of the GE Aerospace Digital Workplace team, the Principal Enterprise Architect, Developer Tools is a temporary role that will support the separation of GE Aerospace into an independent, investor-grade company by establishing the architectural strategy and roadmap for source code management and developer tool projects.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Sets the strategy and technology roadmap for all developer tools separation projects in GE Aerospace. This includes but is not limited to tools such as GitHub, Confluence, JIRA and Rally.

  • Influences leadership (SPB+) and drive criteria based decision making and strategic planning for developer tool separation projects. Identifies dependencies across workstreams and effectively collaborates across organizations to deliver dev tools projects and supports success of other workstream projects.

  • Where applicable to separation projects, leads the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in product development and/or operational support activities.

  • Defines and maintains the design documentation standards for enterprise architecture for developer tools.

  • Manages the financial budget process for multiple projects in a business unit.

  • Coaches and mentors team members on technical skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 10 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 13 years of professional experience

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in digital technology engineering and/or architecture

  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sophisticated projects and competing priorities simultaneously

  • Proven track record of delivering results in large, cross-functional initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment where tactical and strategic initiatives are driven in parallel

  • Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers


The salary range for this position is $145,000.00 - $241,700.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.
