General Electric Lead Product Support Engineer in Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Description Summary

As a member of the Product Support Engineering team, you will help deliver solutions for CFM LEAP turbofan commercial engines, actively flying around the globe. In this role, you will directly interface with the Airline and MRO customers on your assigned hardware and be the voice of the customer to internal organizations. You will be responsible for coordinating and executing field programs, updating ICA, drafting Service Bulletins, and working on projects to increase time on wing, and reduce overall shop visit cost.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Product Support Engineering Hardware Owner, you will:

  • With guidance, execute on and support field investigations per Field Problem Resolution Guide

  • Work collaboratively with Design and Repair Engineering to support field investigations and develop field control plans for the flying fleet

  • Collaborate with MRO shops and airlines on reviewing new leading indicator findings

  • Draft ICA and Service Bulletins documentation to introduce new parts and field programs

  • Respond to customer inquires on assigned hardware within required time commits, and be available for after hours to support AOG inquires

  • Recommend approaches to meet the technical and program requirements

  • Formulate, defend, and implement plans that achieve schedules

  • Develop action plans and respond to problems

  • Present key technical presentation to product stakeholders and airline/MRO customers

  • Complete documentation of technical data for the assigned projects

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering Degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering environment

Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering Degree with an Aeronautical or Aviation focus

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
