Job Description:

You are a seasoned Cyber Security Leader with a passion for building and managing security experts to drive innovative solutions. In this role, you will hold responsibility for activation of IAM program management, governance, and technical teams to ensure alignment with strategy and vision. Working with the team to ensure IAM solutions are meeting security and business objectives and outcomes by establishing metrics. A successful leader in this role will continuously improve and innovate our IAM capabilities to drive value, enhance our employee experience and secure our digital assets.

In this role, you will:

Responsible for directing and leading the enterprise-wide identity governance and access management service.

The Director will manage the staff that supports automated and manual provision and deprovisioning of access to Enterprise systems.

Considers topics such as future state planning, assisting with implementation and design of Identity Access Management technologies, automation of manual tasks, identity access governance support and implementation services, privilege access management support and identity life cycle management with respect to regulatory compliance and approved standards and policies.

Engages key business stakeholders and customers as it relates to all supported systems and applications to verify, validate, and audit system access.

In addition, this person will be responsible for providing leadership, training, and mentoring to the Identity and Access Management Team. Acts as the expert resource for Identity and Access Management and handles complex issues.

Leads Identity and Access Management (IAM) application architecture/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, and policies and procedures to ensure alignment with standards and overall strategy.

Advises superiors on user security controls effectiveness and recommends enhancements.

Allocates appropriate resources to ensure that projects are completed within committed time and budget and are integrated with administrative and support protocols.

Drives IAM road maps, priorities, planning, and budgeting.

Helps develop user security requirements by working and communicating with stakeholders throughout the company to effectively drive application development and meet user needs and strategy requirements.

Guides and directs the direction of the security provisioning processes and team.

Manage several projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize work.

Work with the leaders within the IAM organization to ensure they are gathering and analyzing data, reporting customer satisfaction levels, and ensuring achievement of SLA metrics and goals.

Required Job Qualifications

Successful candidates will be security evangelists who can translate security concepts into language that is meaningful to many audiences, including business and technical leaders and individual contributors.

Candidates must be able to approach application security from the perspective of risk management and avoid purely academic thinking about software security.

Demonstrate very strong technical leadership and people management skills including solid communication and analytical skills with thorough understanding of product security, development and successful problem definition, decomposition, estimation and resolution

Must demonstrate the ability to influence decision-making processes at all levels of a large organization will be critical to success.

Influence decision making through active partnership with cross-functional teams Manage strategic business partnerships and relationships through Technical, Financial, Contractual and Relationship management

Communicate effectively both within immediate team and GE leadership. Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results

With 10+ years minimum experience in Identity and Access Management

The role will require the candidate to have a wide range of both technical and management skills.

Experience with and understanding of Single Sign-on, Identity Management and Network Security tools, Awareness programs, and the Information Security industry

Solid understanding of application security audit principles and best practices.

In-depth knowledge of multifactor authentication (MFA) architectures, implementations and best practices

Extensive knowledge of Identity Management technologies such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, Ping, Oracle, ForgeRock and other IAM products

Experience with Azure, and Microsoft Active Directory

Experience planning and managing budgets and spend

Solid understanding of network and underlying infrastructure security principles

Strong written and verbal skills coupled with the ability to work with all levels of management

Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong project management and problem/conflict resolution skills

Effective prioritization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Education Qualification

Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 11 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 13 years of professional experience

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT

Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Technical Expertise:

• Ability to consult customer on alignment of outcomes and desired technical solutions at an enterprise level

• Ability to Analyze, design, and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business.

• Working knowledge of configuration choices and related cost implications; Experience with complex solution configurations.

• Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth.

• Experience sustaining operational stability through various life cycle phases (planning, implementation, steady state, de-commissioning); Ability to provision and budget via capital and operating.

• Able to lead early stage customer interactions; Guide customers as they develop confidence and comfort with approaches, and integrate with their legacy tech investments.
