Job Description Summary

As an Administrative Assistant, in our West Chester, Ohio location, you will be responsible for providing supporting day to day needs of the site, the site leader while also providing executive level support for the General Manager of the Additive value stream. You will be able to perform a variety of tasks along with helping to keep long term projects on track. Use your pro-active problem solving experience and exceptional communication skills and a meticulous attention to detail. Can you be the strong right hand person we need to keep it all going?

Job Description

  • Assist with the onboarding process of new employees

  • Be the point person for all plant visits and coordinate meetings.

  • Manage all tradeshow requests

  • Monitor and maintain general consumable supplies for the office positions of the site

  • Draft and review site wide communications such as organizational announcements, newsletters, engagement events etc.. for the site

  • Coordinate all meetings on site and off site.

  • Compile and format leadership pitches, organizational communications, and other special projects

  • Purchase office supplies and manage relationships with vendors and service providers

  • Must be able to professionally handle sensitive information and maintain complete confidentiality

  • Manage the Additive value stream General Manager’s calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters

  • Manage travel arrangements and create & submit expense reports

  • Able to incorporate creative approaches to various projects by taking initiative and working independently

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Administration and Support.

  • As a federal government contractor, GE requires U.S. employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless you receive an approved medical or religious accommodation. Proof of vaccination will be required.

Characteristics:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work independently. Strong problem solving skills.

  • Well skilled using Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Prior manufacturing experience or exposure is a plus.

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
