General Electric FP&A Analyst, Flow & Process Technologies in Chuo-ku, Japan
FP&A Analyst role serves as a business partner to Dresser Japan Sales Leader and commercial team to oversee all commercial activities (orders/sales/commercial base cost/account receivable) and to drive sustainable commercial growth in Japan business including efforts to drive commercial/operations rigor and simplification. The role reports to Japan Finance Manager.
•Partner with Japan Sales Leader and his sales team to drive order growth, go to market strategy, analyze segment /product/channel portfolio.
•Lead commercial analytics (eg. Contract and parts pricing, convertible order, backlog, revenue analysis, company base cost, and so on) & provide meaningful insights/ actionable outcomes to leadership to drive growth and operational rigor.
•Actively partner with Japan finance manager and provide insights for commercial activities and for developing estimates/forecasts, operating plans and operating/strategic reviews.
•Manage various standard reports on monthly basis (FR35/45, Product Segment, APAC report, ARPD, base cost etc…) and handle ad-hoc reports.
•Lead Account Receivable(AR) past due collection and enhance AR management
•Develop and improve financial processes/tools – E.g Simplifying the reporting structure, better planning the closing activities, and systematically approach the process.
•BA or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration,
•5+ years finance work experience
•Finance experience of handling complex financial structuring
•Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
•Strong PC skills: experience with financial systems / applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
•English / Japanese at working level
•Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma
•Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
•Willing to take new challenge
•Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions
•Experience working in a matrix environment
