Job Description Summary
Edison Enterprise Ecosystems Engineering organization unit is looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer, who will manage and support CI/CD enterprise grade applications consumed by customers across GE Healthcare. Responsible for maintaining high SLA with 24x7 operational support in a multi-region environment. Included in the focus areas is the critical evaluation and selection of cutting-edge software needed in SDLC.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Responsible for supporting CI/CI application like Artifactory, GitLab, Sonar, Coverity etc., used by product teams in GE Healthcare in their Software Development Life Cycle.
Maintenance of the application, but not limited to - high availability, monitoring, software upgrades and work closely with deployment teams on troubleshooting CI/CD issues.
Proven ability to understand performance issues in large-scale cloud environments and ability to identify, debug and propose viable solutions.
Leverage infrastructure-as-code (Ansible or Terraform) to provision/patch application instances. Address any security vulnerabilities
Experience with installing software applications and troubleshooting on both Linux and Windows operating systems
Strong Expertise in AWS and/or Azure services, strong working experience with commonly used cloud resources.
Responsible for Cloud account Audits and Cloud consumption-based billing
Influence roadmaps and participate in planning/prioritization activities, coordinate work across multiple development teams.
Lead evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support actives. Continuously innovating, running Proof of Concepts and assessing Cloud partners 3rd party ecosystem solutions
Responsible to maintain 24x7 operational support
Coach and mentor junior team members
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience
A minimum of 5+ years of experience with CI/CD technologies
Desired Characteristics:
Administration experience with any of the CI/CD tools like Artifactory, GitLab, Sonar or Coverity is a plus.
Good understanding of different build and distribution processes used in software development technology stacks like C++, NPM, Maven, Pypi, Docker etc
Experience with relational/NoSQL databases: Oracle, Postgres, ElasticSearch
Knowledge of one or more scripting languages, Python preferred
Experience with Infrastructure as code deployments using tools such as Ansible, Terraform
Experience with log aggregation and monitoring tools like Splunk, CloudWatch, NewRelic, etc.
AWS and/or Azure Certifications. Good understanding of cloud services like load balancers, storage, security groups, virtual machines
Strong knowledge in Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, SSH, DHCP)
Good experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes
Strong working experience with common operating systems: Linux, Windows
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Enthusiastic to find ways to make customers successfully
