Job Description Summary
The primary focus of this role is supporting the Healthcare Digital Radiology & Cardiology Global Product Teams. Responsible for all financial matters therein, including financial, management, and product reporting; planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Drive preparation of investment / business cases for new product investments, as well as holding the product teams accountable for delivering the Return on Investment on new and existing investments.
Additional responsibilities include driving process improvement, increasing product and program visibility, and helping drive LEAN principles.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead planning cycles by providing financial data for strategic planning (3-year Plan), operational planning and budgeting (1-year Plan), and wherever else required
Support operating mechanisms, helping run the business with more accountability and visibility, and driving culture and results around profitability
Help product management drive profitable growth by providing analysis of results and reporting key metrics including product and program investment and returns
Consolidate and prepare management reporting (consolidated and segment P&Ls) and communicate results to global product team
Provide necessary analytics to highlight key business performance drivers; Identifying risks and opportunities throughout the quarter and help develop processes to mitigate risks while capitalizing on opportunities
Support R&D programs prioritization based on ROI, monitor execution, hold product teams accountable
Responsible for monthly, quarterly, annual Accounting closing processes
Responsible for managing cost center structure and driving One Product Hierarchy maintenance
Contribute to improving efficiencies and performance as well as providing quality financial information to drive productivity and profitability
Participate in simplification projects that will facilitate and increase capacity for value-added financial analysis
Ensure DOMO dashboards are maintained for headcount, expense, and revenues to enable universal self-service to investment and returns information. Providing the right data, at the right time, to the right people.
Monitor and manage headcount allocations ensuring accurate reporting, variance analysis, and projections
- Minimum of a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s) OR a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration with Minimum of 4 years OR Master's degree with minimum of 6 years financial work experience.
Experience with financial systems/applications such as DOMO, Spotfire, Peoplesoft, Oracle, Business Objects, Hyperion Essbase
Solid PC skills and strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel including pivot tables, @sumif, data automation, etc.
Clear thinking/problem solving; successfully led cross functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function; able to quickly grasp new ideas; able to quickly respond in high priority/high stress situations
Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change - Operational & FP&A Experience
Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others
Proven communication and leadership skills
Demonstrated analytical, process and problem-solving skills
Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP
