Job Description Summary
As the Solutions Marketing Director, you'll be responsible for influencing and activating the marketing strategy for an assigned solutions portfolio in the United States and Canada. This individual is responsible for delivering strong execution of key marketing processes, centered around the customer, including product positioning and value propositions, alignment to market segmentation, competitive analysis, and fueling horizontal persona-based multi-channel commercial activation including new product introductions and installed base retention. The Solutions Marketing Director will also be charged with collaborating across portfolios to communicate a One GE Healthcare story, showcasing differentiated offerings and developing thought leadership with a focus on sales revenue goals and marketing responsiveness metrics.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Use customer, market and competitive research to understand customers’ clinical, operational and economic needs in the U.S. and Canada region, as well as values and benefits sought to identify market opportunities for owned portfolio.
Working from globally developed, research-based materials, deliver clear, compelling, and differentiated value propositions that position the strength of our solutions and connect with customers in this market.
Work with sales, product management, marketing and business leadership to understand market goals and priorities for modalities within the portfolio and align those to inform a robust central marketing strategy.
Working collaboratively across the Marketing function, create go-to-market strategies aligned with the central marketing strategy, market messages with clearly defined differentiators, and content plans for owned portfolio to drive horizontal persona-based demand and lead generation activities.
Own the responsibility and process to align a product portfolio franchise (including service, digital & finance) in the USCAN region, informing a connected customer-centric and holistic solution.
Working collaboratively across the Marketing function, and in alignment with the Marketing strategy, design and implement robust product launches leveraging the NCA process.
Collaborate across marketing and with Value Creation to leverage customer insights to recommend innovative total customer offerings that ensure customer success and solve customer needs.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
8+ years’ experience in marketing, product marketing or related field Ability to lead teams without necessarily having direct reporting lines, and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy based on product/portfolio growth potential and customer need
Strong influencing skills Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with sales and product development teams, leading collectively to a marketing strategy and activation that drives meaningful and measurable customer and business benefit.
Significant experience in developing strong customer-centric value propositions and content
Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communications skills Leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy Prior experience in a leadership role with direct reports Innovation – develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas
Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams Strong analytical and process skills
Based in Chicago
MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
10+ years’ experience in marketing, product marketing or related field
Proven success in marketing of technology products and/or services; candidates with experience marketing to healthcare providers or relevant healthcare experience preferred
Proven experience in building innovative, proactive, high impact marketing campaigns using all relevant channels and media; and aligning marketing strategy with business goals.
Should have strong fundamental lead generation execution and measurement experience for improvement analysis.
Experience analyzing market/industry data including competitive intelligence to support new offering introductions and the development of marketing campaigns a plus.
