General Electric Product Marketing Manager, Cardiology IT USCAN in Chicago, Illinois

Role Summary:

Product Marketing Manager, Cardiology IT develops a regional product/portfolio strategy including product

positioning, market segmentation and targeting, and installed base retention. Responsible for

generating growth for Cardiovascular IT solutions in US and Canada through demand creation and

funnel acceleration in partnership with Field Marketing; and supporting future product planning by

identifying market trends, relevant buying centers and personas, and customer needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes win/loss & competitive insight on product portfolios at regional level; feedback toglobal product; recommend and develop marketing programs to adjust product positioning andimprove win rate

  • Collaborates with commercial leadership and global marketing to develop the region marketand orders forecast

  • Ensures regional marketing plans & execution are aligned with global marketing plan (valueproposition, positioning, marketing mix, etc.) to grow orders and share

  • Provides region input to business cases for products/upgrades that are at concept stage,works with Global Product Marketing and Management to develop and test new product ideas

  • Employs clinical and industry trend analysis, and market share and competitive analysisrelevant to a product / portfolio. Conducts in-depth research to define customer problemstatement, success metrics, clinical and economic needs, buying cycles, and personas to supportdevelopment of global Market Requirements Document (MRD)

  • Validate global value proposition and messaging and adapt for regional use

  • Prioritize and map global customer segments and work with Field Marketing on demandcreation activities to achieve New Product Introduction (NPI) success and business objectives

  • Develop and support Cardiovascular IT solution/product-specific KOL’s (Key Opinion Leaders)and advisory boards.

  • Develop regional thought leadership and marketing, advertising and promotion strategy insupport of demand creation and funnel acceleration activities and in alignment with global strategy

  • Adapt global marketing assets (including sales tools) to ensure that the region commercialorganization has the right tools to position and sell product configurations / solution portfolioeffectively. Train direct / indirect sales channels

  • Identify and establish reference and show sites, working with Commercial Leadership. Developprograms to gather regional evidence of customer success and outcomes, early adopters, showsites, and clinical evidence where appropriate Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in strategic marketing, product marketing, market analysis, consumer insights, sales/branding or related field experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cardiovascular and software industryEligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel

  • Preference for someone to work out of the Chicago office Desired Characteristics:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field

  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing, product marketing or related field

  • Cardiovascular IT expertise

  • Deep marketing expertise in market & customer insights, product commercialization andbranding
