Job Description Summary
As the Persona Marketing Director C-suite, you'll lead, coordinate and/or manage execution of marketing plans. Identify and execute opportunities for growth, share gain, and contribute to the development of a product/portfolio strategy including product positioning. Optimize commercial execution though development of marketing and launch plans and aligning market insights with technology trends. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. Subject to Commercial policy objectives. Has independence in achieving commercial objectives within operating budgets and operating guidelines. There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

The Persona Marketing Director is responsible for developing our horizontal marketing strategy for an assigned persona-based solutions portfolio in the United States and Canada. This individual is responsible for delivering strong execution of key marketing initiatives centered around the customer, including product positioning and value propositions, alignment to market segmentation, competitive analysis, and activation. Through a deep understanding of the customer journey, this individual would manage the creation of engaging content across their platform, inclusive of new product introductions and installed base retention.
The Persona Marketing Director will be charged with collaborating across portfolios to communicate a One GE Healthcare story, showcasing differentiated offerings and developing thought leadership with a focus on sales revenue goals and marketing responsiveness metrics.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Deep and thorough understanding of the customer persona, leveraging the buying journey, qualitative and quantitative insights to create a robust engagement strategy.
Driving the use of customer, market and competitive research to understanding customer’s clinical, operational and economic needs, as well as values and benefits sought to identify market opportunities for owned portfolio.
Delivering clear, compelling, and differentiated value propositions that position the strength of our solutions and connect with the market.
Working with sales, product management, marketing and business leadership to understand market goals and priorities and translating them into focused marketing objectives.
Creating go-to-market strategies, market messages with clearly defined differentiators, and content plans for owned portfolio to drive horizontal persona-based demand and lead generation activities.
Coordinating with GEHC stakeholders (including global marketing, sales, etc.) to determine what should be activated within USCAN region and leveraging globally-created content.
Owning the integrated strategic planning process for a persona solutions portfolio (including service, digital & finance) in the US/Canada region.
Collaborating across marketing to develop innovative total customer offerings that ensure customer success and solve customer needs.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
8+ years’ experience in marketing, product marketing or related field Ability to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy
Strong influencing skills Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communications skills
Leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy
Prior experience in a leadership role with direct reports Innovation – develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams Strong analytical and process skills
Based in Chicago
MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
10+ years’ experience in marketing, product marketing or related field
Proven success in marketing of technology products and/or services; candidates with experience marketing to healthcare providers or relevant healthcare experience preferred
Proven experience in building innovative, proactive, high impact marketing campaigns using all relevant channels and media; and aligning marketing strategy with business goals.
Should have strong fundamental lead generation execution and measurement experience for improvement analysis.
Experience analyzing market/industry data including competitive intelligence to support new offering introductions and the development of marketing campaigns a plus.
