Job Description Summary
Responsible for providing the market insights required for the organization to create strategic plans, develop the commercial strategies to execute those plans and monitor the performance measures to understand performance. These responsibilities require coordination across a broad range of functions including product and region marketing, commercial operations, sales and finance. Manages assigned offshore analyst resources to support deliverables.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead 5-year U.S. and Canada market outlook. Deliverables are documents summarizing the quantitative , i.e. market forecasting and qualitative i.e. description of MedTech industry, healthcare environment and general and economic trends.
Lead quarterly U.S. and Canada market size and share reporting. Deliverables are early estimation at quarter close through publication of GE data to trade associations and reporting of actual results based on trade association total market information.
Liaison to global business analytics team, relevant trade associations (i.e. N.E.M.A.) and vendor partners for data strategy and execution of long term and quarterly market outlook and performance reporting.
Support U.S. and Canada product and region teams with insights into market outlook and performance measures for the purpose of product strategy and sales target setting.
Identify and communicate insights from the market data identifying trends, shifts and areas of continued strong or poor performance over a period, market and sales actuals vs. forecast performance.
Manage and maintain U.S. and Canada market categorization variables within CRM for the purposes of enabling standard sales performance reporting and insights to support omni channel deployment. Example may include propensity to buy, account prioritization or segmentation.
Manage budget and relationships with 3rd party data and insights providers as needed (i.e. Definitive Healthcare, Build Central, Kaufman Hall, SG2, etc.) Ensures accessibility and provides effective communication regarding available data resources and their purposes to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
5 years of experience leading market data analytics in a large company or consulting agency.
Master’s in Business Analytics, Data Science or other STEM related degree.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Demonstrated ability to lead, document, plan, and execute programs.
Established project management skills.
MedTech or Healthcare experience.
